A petite 18th century French Louis XVI period giltwood mirror, circa 1700's.
Fine ornate carving decorated with a knotted ribbon and central wheat shafts, surmounted by scrolls of flowers and acanthus leaves. Both sides feature tassels and further ornamentation alongside contrasting verdant paint. Late mirror plate within a beaded frieze.
Retaining original giltwood providing an exceptional patina contrast with its elaborate details.
Condition: in good original condition showing signs of wear in keeping with age.
