LATE 17TH C. FLEMISH "VERDURE" TAPESTRY
A late 17th century Flemish "Verdure" tapestry.
Depicting a forest glade with flowers and a bird of prey in the foreground, a walled city with a castle on the horizon. Original woven frame surrounding decorated with foliage, flower heads and acanthus leaves. Brown, gold, blue and green tones.
Condition: wear consistent with age, minor some areas of fading and small openings but overall very good condition with good colour retention.
